Team Talk Odette! #135 - Remember Your Passion
December 09, 2013
Hello

More often than not in your ballet classes, the focus is always on technique and progressing through each different exercise.

However, for a moment, I want you to think about your audience.

Who are you performing to? Why do people love dance so much?

For a ballet company like San Francisco Ballet, they perform as many as 100 shows per year to different audiences.

You can read up more on the inspiring ballet company San Francisco here -

If you find yourself getting tied down with technique or frustrated with pirouettes, then think about the audience.

You mustn't forget the purpose and ultimate drive in ballet, which is to perform and dance for the pure enjoyment.

Best wishes,

Odette

P.S - The quote of the day is: "If you have a passion for something, you'll create the talent."
