From a young age, my ballet school encouraged us to be creative and we had choreographic classes where we would unleash our skills to create the steps rather than be taught them.

In fact, a few dancers I trained with have now become choreographers and it shows another career in dance which you may be interested in.

There is even a dance software program which acts like a tool to choreograph and helps develops the skills of your imagination. The figures on screen become almost like real dancers in front of you, you can see here -

If you have a moment, try choreographing a small dance for yourself to your favourite piece on music. You may end up in entirely to your own world which is both fun and fulfilling!
