I've been helping lots of ballet dancers this week on their first time with pointe shoes. It's an exciting and special time, which also should not be rushed!

Most dancer's are desperate to get pointe shoes like the real ballerinas, but it's important to be ready too. Patience is a virtue with something as important as this.

I've tried out at least 4 different brands and probably hundreds pairs of pointe shoes! I've come to realise they do not always feel the same and you will always get differences between each pair.

Most importantly though, they should fit correctly and be supportive to your feet.
