Team Talk Odette! #167 - What Do Ballerinas Eat

Many people are fascinated by what ballet dancers eat and it's probably the question I get asked most when I meet someone who isn't a dancer.

The answer isn't actually that exciting or surprising to me, because like most people ballet dancers strive to look after their body and fuel it with nutritious food.

However, what you eat is especially important to dancers because we need to give ourselves energy to dance and recover from long tired days.

My favourite snacks include nuts, fruits and healthy energy bars to give me energy through my dancing day. I am also a great fan of green tea.

Ballet dancers are like atheletes, so think of yourself as one too and look after your body!
