Whether you're auditioning, trying to 'impress' or stand out from the crowd, I can tell you the teachers aren't always looking for perfect steps.

The people looking at you want dynamic, musicality and your individuality as a dancer. Of course, technique and placement is crucial but if you want the eyes to be drawn to you, that extra sparkle is even more necessary.

Especially when you're in a room full of dancers who all have the ability to dance the steps of ballet, you need to glow with an inner confidence to make them believe in you.
