If you want to get ready for pointe and strengthen your footwork, then take some time to focus on your demi-pointe work.

You want to think of staying on a really high demi-pointe, especially when you are balancing. Imagine you're wearing stiletto high heels and it's keeping you up on demi-pointe.

As soon as you start pointe work, you'll feel much stronger and stable on demi-pointe. In the meantime, keep pushing for the maximum in your footwork.

Remember, it's not just the ankles that stabilise your feet but it comes from the very tops of the legs.
