It is a great skill as a dancer to pick up the steps quickly and learn choreography.

Back in the classical period, the only way for the dancers to learn the material of ballet productions were from the older dancers. The material was passed down from generation to generation, there were no video phones or dvds to remember the steps with.

Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Nutcracker are all examples of ballets from the classical period. They all consist of Love, big Pas de Deux sections and beautiful costumes.

Watching a ballet performance at the theatre is one of the most magical moments. The excitement of the theatre and the energy of the dancers is an experience you will always remember.

Keep inspired!
