Ballet Dancers - Too Late?

Hi! I love your website...such great information.

I used to do ballet when I was about 4 years old but only maybe for a year. Apparently I was too 'bored' so I disturbed the class.

Now, I'm 21, and I regret not continuing ballet...I want to get in shape but I don't want to do the typical gym routine. I would like to pick up ballet again.

Is it too late? What should I do first?

Thank you :)

Hi there!

Thank you for contacting me, it is great to hear from you. It gives me such delight to know my website is useful to others, so thank you!

Ballet is a great alternative to the gym as it tones as it strengthens the body whilst still making it supple and lean. It is never too late to begin ballet as a hobby and you will find it will give you many benefits such as your co-ordination, posture, flexibility and your general health and well-being.

I suggest you first find yourself some ballet lessons around your area, I am sure there will be classes for people just like you who look to ballet as an enjoyable form of exercise.

Ballet is such a beautiful art form and you will find your whole grace and elegance enhance as you begin to progress with your lessons. I definitely suggest you go for it and continue where you left off all those years ago!

All the best,

Odette
